Thin Mints, Vanilla Custard and Girl Scouts – What’s Not to Like?

Sunday, March 10th is Girl Scout Sunday. To support Girl Scouts in Gainesville, SweetBerries will donate to the troop 10% of sales from scouts, family, and friends of Girl Scout Troop 315. This fundraiser will help the girls of Troop 315 fund a trip to Europe where they will visit Girl Scout sites in several countries. Come out and help these young ladies achieve their wish to be world travelers!

Great First Week-end

SweetBerries Gainesville opened its doors on February 1 and had a terrific first week-end. Family and friends were around to help celebrate with us. A fantastic team from Bradenton was on hand to help us handle a busy few days. Boilin Oil performed on our patio on Saturday. Janice and I look forward to providing great food and friendly service to our Gainesville community.

Gainesville SweetBerries Has First Customer!

It’s official. We have served our very first customer at SweetBerries Gainesville. Curren, the lovely daughter of Seth Lane and his wife, Brittany, was our first customer as we cranked up our frozen custard ice cream machine for the first time and turned out some rich and creamy vanilla frozen custard. SweetBerries is set to open on Friday, February 1st.

Bringing Us Power

We have some great electricians. These two guys have been with us almost every day of our renovation (which has been a bit over 12 weeks now).

This is Bobby. He is working hard to get a power supply to all of the equipment we will be using to make our great food and custard.

This is Ron. Ladies, Ron is totally cute, hard working, and single!

Our Kitchen Takes Shape

It has been kind of amazing to watch our new SweetBerries Eatery change from plans on paper to a finished space where we will be making great food and the best frozen custard ice cream life has to offer! (Ok, I might be a little biased, but I can’t wait to see what Gainesville thinks of our delicious fare). Here is a picture of one of the guys putting up insulation, followed by a shot of the same wall after the dry wall has been installed.
